On October 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a videoconference of the Presidium meeting of the Russian Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects held by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The event was held in the mode of video conferencing with all regions of the country. Topical issues of the implementation of the national projects Healthcare and Demography were discussed. Opening the meeting, Dmitry Medvedev focused on the importance of implementing these projects to improve the quality of life of the population. “I'll start with the national project “Demography”. It would be important to hear the situation with the nursery today. The topic is clear. This is not the first time I remember how we worked on queues for kindergartens for children aged three to seven years. It was a complex, large-scale project. In general, it turned out. And now we are talking about promoting employment for women who send their children to preschool institutions for children under the age of three years, that is, in a nursery,” - said the Prime Minister. - Money in the budget for these purposes is rather big, for this year - almost 65 billion rubles. There are regions where everything is being built at a good pace. This is the Voronezh region, Tatarstan, Vologda, Ryazan, Belgorod region. But there are problems too.” In addition, the meeting discussed the construction and repair of feldsher-midwife stations in settlements with a population of 100 to 200 people, as well as the purchase of mobile medical complexes to increase the availability of medical services to the population.
