Irek Faizullin met with a delegation from Finland

A delegation from Finland visited the Ministry of construction, architecture and housing of the Republic of Tatarstan to discuss cooperation in the field of municipal waste management. The delegation included Minister-adviser of the Embassy of Finland in Russia Joonas Heiskanen, representatives of companies: Wihuri Rus, Europress Group Oy, Molok Oy, Nanten, MariMatic, Set Cleantech, Tana. In Finland, only 1% of household waste ends up in landfills. Most of the garbage is either used for energy production or recycled and reused. "Our system of waste management, our technologies are fixed at the legislative level. We are ready to share experience, starting with the collection and ending with processing," - Minister-adviser of the Embassy of Finland in Russia Joonas Heiskanen outlined the purpose of his visit. During the visit, the members of the delegation were provided with information on the state of Affairs in the housing and communal complex, as well as on the implementation of the reform of the waste management system in Tatarstan. Representatives of the companies presented their capabilities in the field of collection, export and recycling of waste, landfill remediation, deep sorting and energy production. The parties agreed on further cooperation and exchange of information.
