Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan I.E.Faizullin visits Kazan State University of Architecture and Construction
On April 1st, 2013 Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the University Board of Trustees I.E.Faizullin visited Kazan State University of Architecture and Construction.
The Minister visited a renewed Museum of History of the University, and a new conference hall which since November 2012 has been housing the Scientific Board meetings, scientific and practical seminars on topical issues of architecture, construction and urban development of areas including those attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N.Minnikhanov.
The Minister met with Principal of the University Professor R.K.Nizamov, members of the Scientific Board of the University who were also the first to see new exhibits of the museum and could learn about the history and the present of the University and exchange opinions.
Irek Envarovich Faizullin noted that the museum had always been a cultural center of the University, a repository of the sacred memory and history of the University, a place where graduates and veterans, students and teachers met. “The University which honors and remembers the glorious traditions of the past and cares for its rich history, has a great future”, said the Minister.
Principal of Kazan State University of Architecture and Construction R.K.Nizamov thanked the Minister for the continued extensive support of the University and noted a great contribution of the relevant Ministry to the successful development of the University.
Also I.E.Faizullin appreciated the benefits of a new, equipped with state of the art conference hall which had already become a platform of the origin and development of new and creative ideas, and a place of business constructive communication among professional builders, architects and urban planners. Due to its modern equipment the conference hall can house meetings of the Board of Trustees and the Scientific Board, seminars, meetings with dignitaries as well as discussions, round tables, conferences, forums, workshops, meetings, presentations requiring a great variety of equipment to easily and effectively illustrate presentations and accompany them with audiovisual imagery.
In his speech at the meeting of the Scientific Board I.E.Faizullin noted that the University has a successful stable position, it had not opened branches and representative offices, moreover, it has a high “enter” rating and is one of the leading Universities of the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of the employment of its graduates. All these positive points have been noted at the last meeting of the interdepartmental working group on “Scientific and Educational Engineering Support” affiliated with the Board for Science and Education under the President of Russian Federation, attended by the Minister and the Principal of the University. “This is a serious work of the University team. I would always like to see the University as strong, active and successful as it is at the moment”, said the Minister.
R.K.Nizamov expressed the hope that the relevant Ministry would continue to support the University, especially in implementing innovative solutions of the University scientists. The work in this area has been carried out for several years. Meetings between representatives of the Ministry and the University take place regularly and present new innovative projects. There has been already developed a base of such projects. There is some progress in the real implementation of the projects.
The visit of Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan I.E.Faizullin again confirmed a close mutually beneficial cooperation between the University and the relevant Ministry which allows the University to move forward to new opportunities and achievements!
