The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov examined a number of facilities under construction in Kazan today. He was accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khanifov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, representatives of contractors. The first object of a working detour was the site next to the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital named after Professor A.F. Agafonov, where the construction of the second building of the RCIDH continues today. The four-story medical building is designed for 234 beds. If necessary, their number can be increased to 504 places. In addition to the main building of the infectious diseases hospital, a new laboratory complex will be erected. The second building of the RCIDH includes an admission and diagnostic department, 10 admission and examination boxes, an antishock ward, CT, ultrasound investigation, X-ray, surgeries and operating rooms.

Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the implementation of the project of reconstruction of the second stage of the embankment of Kaban Lake. The territory of the embankment near the G. Kamal Theater has already been commissioned. Citizens can appreciate the beautification, in particular, walk along the updated pedestrian areas and take a trip on boats and catamarans. By the Youth Day - June 27 - it is planned to hand over the open part of the Uram extreme park under the Millennium Bridge. Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of construction of the site for fans of extreme sports. The area of ​​20 thousand square meters includes a large pump-track, air-park and training zone, concrete skate park, street-ball park, parkour park, pamp track for beginners and a workout area. All work comes to an end. The construction of the covered part of the extreme park will continue. In conclusion, the President of Tatarstan visited the reconstructed NCC “Kazan”. At the moment, work has been completed on updating the Khorriyat sculpture, installing external water supply networks, installing an entresol for the steel frame and monolithic stairs, installing brick walls and a roof. It is planned to place a book depository of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan in the NCC.
