Rustam Minnikhanov and Marat Khusnullin opened one of the oldest recreation centers in Kazan after a major overhaul

Today, in the Kazan settlement Derbyshki, the opening of the Palace of Culture named after S. Said-Galiev took place after a major overhaul.  The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Osintsev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin.  Marat Khusnullin noted that the repair of the recreation center named after S. Said-Galiev took place in a difficult period, associated with the epidemiological situation and economic difficulties.  “Despite all the difficulties, work at the facility was completed on time.  I remember this recreation center, I remember how we came here as children.  Then in some years, he was not in the best condition.  The fact that today it is opened in such a beautiful form is a huge achievement.  I want to thank the leadership of the republic for finding the opportunity to bring the building into such excellent condition,” - said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.  Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the recreation center named after S. Said-Galiev was always in great demand among the townspeople.  Over a 60-year history, more than 30 million spectators have visited various cultural and leisure events.  Creative groups won prizes at Russian and international festivals and forums.  “I am sure that this object will be one of the great assets of our capital,” - said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.  Overhaul started last summer.  House of Culture named after S. Said-Galiev is one of the most richly decorated buildings.  The rooms are decorated with unique author's chandeliers and sconces, the author's stucco molding made in the art workshops of Leningrad.  Therefore, much attention was paid to restoration work.
