In Naberezhnye Chelny, the second stage of capital repairs of household sewerage networks at the 26th microdistrict of the village of the hydroelectric power station has begun.
The modernization of these utility networks is included in the program of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". 158.58 million rubles have been allocated for construction and installation work.
According to the design estimates, new polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 400 mm are planned to be laid this year on a section about 2 km long. The work will be carried out using an innovative method of horizontal directional drilling and will be completed in October.
According to the State Institution "Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", the networks have a wear rate of more than 85%. The steel pipeline was put into operation in 1973. And during this period, numerous ulcerative corrosion appeared on the inner surface of the pipes. The waterproofing of the pipes is broken, and their wall thickness is 70% of the thickness of the new pipe. Emergency situations were repeatedly recorded in the surveyed areas.
Experts note that as a result of the overhaul of this facility, the quality of public services will improve for almost 8 thousand residents of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Recall that in 2026, according to the national project "Infrastructure for Life" in Naberezhnye Chelny, 15 municipal infrastructure facilities will be modernized for a total amount of 2.048 billion rubles.
