Major repairs of household and drinking water supply networks are continuing in the village of Naberezhnye Chelny hydroelectric power station. It is planned to lay 2,366 m of polyethylene pipe using an innovative method of horizontal directional drilling with a diameter of 400 mm. Specialists will complete the work by August. The completion rate has now reached 66%.
The network upgrade is included in the federal program "Modernization of Communal Infrastructure" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". About 242 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes.
According to the State Institution "Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", water supply networks have a wear rate of more than 85%. During operation since 1973, the waterproofing of steel pipes has been disrupted, and an intensive corrosion process has been observed. As a result, emergency situations were repeatedly recorded at the sites.
Major repairs of this facility will provide 15267 residents of Naberezhnye Chelny with high-quality and uninterrupted water supply.
It should be recalled that 15 municipal infrastructure facilities will be repaired in Naberezhnye Chelny as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
In total, 17 facilities in Tatarstan are planned to be upgraded under the national project for a total amount of 2.5 billion rubles.
