New production facilities have been launched in Tatarstan to modernize utility networks

Two new production facilities have been launched in Kazan on the basis of the RGK Group of companies.

One of the new directions is the production of polymer anchor sheets at the Polymer Protection enterprise (a joint project of RGK, ArsenalGidro and PROFI). Previously, these products were supplied to Tatarstan from other regions, but now the launch of its own production will reduce dependence on external supplies and strengthen quality control.

The polymer sheet is resistant to aggressive environments, increases the service life of structures up to 50 years and reduces operating costs by 40-60% during the life cycle. At the start, the company will produce three types of products: PRIMA smooth sheet, PRIME anchor sheet and a modified version of PRIME+ with additives to increase wear resistance.

The second innovation is profiles made of non–plasticized polyvinyl chloride (NPVC) for trenchless repair of sewer networks. Spiral-wound reconstruction technology will allow to restore worn–out areas without cutting off the flow, reducing work time by eight times, and financial costs by 30%.

According to Damir Shaidullin, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, new production facilities will accelerate and reduce the cost of modernization of the republic's engineering infrastructure.

"The main requirement of the ministry is the use of high–quality materials that ensure an increase in the service life of the networks and their suitability for repair in the future," Damir Shaidullin emphasized.

He recalled that in 2025, about 500 km of engineering communications were replaced in Tatarstan, including using modern technologies. 2.5 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes from the federal budget within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" and 10 billion rubles from the republican budget. In 2026, it is planned to upgrade another 250 km of networks with an investment volume of 12.5 billion rubles.

"Unfortunately, customer services sometimes encounter substandard materials. Today, the most important thing is to ensure long–term operation, which in the future will minimize the risks of accidents," added the first Deputy Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The new production facilities of RGK and its partners will become part of a systematic effort to strengthen the technological autonomy of the republic and expand the range of domestic products for effective modernization of the municipal infrastructure.
