Tatarstan builders participated in the reconstruction of the Dioskurov embankment in Sukhum

Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of Tatarstan, Sergey Kiriyenko, the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, Badra Gunba, the President of Abkhazia, Marat Aizatullin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan, inspected the reconstructed Dioskurov Embankment in Sukhum.

The restoration work was carried out with the support of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod region, representatives of the Abkhazian business and Sukhum International Airport. Ardzinby.

The embankment section being reconstructed by Tatarstan was about 700 meters, with a total area of 7.5 thousand square meters. Monolithic work was carried out at the facility to restore the top of the parapet using granite. Slabs have been laid on the promenade, curbs, drainage trenches and engineering networks have been arranged. Lighting is installed.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that work on the embankment will continue. The landscaping of the green zone is planned to be completed within 2 months. "This beautiful embankment will serve the residents of Sukhumi and the guests of the city, including tourists from Tatarstan," said Rais of the Republic.

Badra Gunba noted that the Dioskurov embankment is one of the favorite places among the citizens and guests of Sukhumi. "Today we are attending an important ceremony - the completion of the reconstruction of the embankment. This event could not have taken place without our fraternal republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. Our peoples have deep historical ties, and cooperation is actively developing today. Thank you for your support," said the President of Abkhazia.

Sergey Kiriyenko expressed gratitude to the Russian regions for their help in the reconstruction of the facility. "We managed to meet all deadlines. Although everything turned out to be much more complicated: the sizes turned out to be larger, the costs were higher, but we fulfilled our obligations. This is an important evidence of the strong fraternal relations between Russia and Abkhazia," he added.
