Mazit Salikhov inspected the reconstruction of utility networks in the Pestrechinsky and Zelenodolsk districts
The issues of the quality of life of citizens and the reliability of life support systems are under constant control of the leadership of Tatarstan. Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Mazit Salikhov made a working trip to assess the pace of modernization of communal infrastructure in the Pestrechinsky and Zelenodolsk municipal districts under the republican program.
The first point of the visit was the village of Kuyuki in the Pestrechinsky district. This is a vital project for residents of a settlement that is actively under construction. The builders laid more than 14 kilometers of modern polyethylene pipes, installed 85 wells and installed shut-off valves. The work is organized in two stages and is nearing its final stage. The reconstruction will make it possible to completely close the problem of drinking water shortage during peak hours and eliminate the risks of emergency gusts due to the high wear of old steel mains.
"The work is strictly on schedule," Mazit Salikhov said. "We are obliged to complete all the commissioning work before the onset of cold weather, so that residents receive high–quality service on time."
In the urban-type settlement of Vasilyevo, Zelenodolsk district, the Deputy head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan assessed the progress of major repairs and reconstruction of drainage (sewerage) systems. Of the more than 12 kilometers of networks provided by the project, 10 kilometers have already been successfully laid, 58 out of 192 prefabricated reinforced concrete wells have been installed.
The builders will have to carry out complex work on the construction of sheet-pile fences of excavation pits and water lowering of the groundwater level for the installation of sewage pumping stations that will pump wastewater from newly laid pipelines. The use of these technologies guarantees the durability of new communications and the safety of excavation work near existing residential buildings.
