The Rais of Tatarstan Inaugurates Indoor Football Arenas in Four Districts of the Republic
Today, the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, paid a working visit to the Tyulyachinsky District. There, he participated via video link in the opening of four indoor football arenas. These facilities were constructed in the Leninogorsky, Alekseevsky, Drozhzhanovsky, and Tyulyachinsky districts as part of the republic's sports facility construction program.
Marat Aizatullin, the Head of the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan, took part in the opening ceremony of the arena in the Drozhzhanovsky District.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan rightfully holds a leading position in Russia regarding sports development. To date, the republic boasts over 12,000 sports facilities. Plans are in place to build another 12 football arenas to ensure every district has one.
The Rais of the Republic noted that a football development center based at the Rubin Football Club, a figure skating center, and a rugby center had recently opened in Kazan. Twenty-five such facilities have been built since 2025. This represents a significant contribution to the development of football in the republic, he stressed.
"Football is the most popular sport. In Tatarstan, 68,000 people play it. Over 10,000 of them are children—youngsters from specialized sports sections. Our goal is to consistently create a modern sports environment and engage as many residents of Tatarstan as possible in regular physical activity and sports. With the launch of these new arenas, we are opening the next chapter in the sporting history of your districts. I am confident that future champions will grow here and delight us with new sporting victories," Rustam Minnikhanov said.
All the arenas feature 20x40-meter football pitches. They are equipped with two changing rooms with showers, a coach's room, a waiting area, a medical room, and a storage area for sports equipment. The sports facilities are equipped with the necessary equipment and furniture.
