Bricklayer from Tatarstan Named Russia’s Best!
Dmitry Dmitriev, representing the Kazan-based company SK Ellada LLC, was named the country's best bricklayer following the federal stage of the All-Russian Professional Skills Competition. The event took place in Chuvashia from September 8 to 10.
The competition’s theoretical section covered topics such as work organization and occupational safety.
During the practical test, participants laid a plinth, constructed two rows of pillars, and created a decorative pattern featuring numerals.
Dmitry credits his success to being fully prepared for the tasks, noting that his father—a highly experienced bricklayer—served as his primary teacher and mentor. It was his father’s rigorous training and the knowledge he imparted that paved the way for the victory. Dmitry himself has been working in the construction industry for nearly eight years. Projects he has built alongside his team include the Yaratam, Solnechny Gorod, Krylovka-Park, and Dubravnaya 2.0 residential complexes.
Dmitry believes that the key to any competition is the readiness to give 100 percent effort.

As a reminder, the All-Russian "Best in the Profession" competition covers 25 categories and is part of the "Person of Labor" federal program under the "Workforce" national project. Winners of regional stages in each category go on to compete at the federal level.
