Reconstruction of the facility began in 2019. The general contractor is Restavrator LLC. The second object, which was visited by Farit Khanifov, was the National Cultural Center “Kazan”, where it is planned to place the national library of the Republic of Tatarstan. The builders reported on the reconstruction of the building and provided information on the object "Placement of the book depository of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan in the building of the NCC “Kazan” with an annex to the reading room." As for the annexe for the reading room - the construction of the monolithic frame is 100% complete, in addition, the installation of stained glass and glass fencing on the parapet, the layout of heating networks, low-voltage networks, electrical networks, water supply, the installation of lamps, the filling of polymer floors and grinding, were completed installation of glass partitions, finishing work. The discussion of the reconstruction of the facilities was attended by Marat Aizatullin, Director of the Main Investment and Construction Directorate of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Adel Khusnutdinov, General Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt".
