The federal government has approved the rules for the formation and maintenance of the building information classifier

The Government of the Russian Federation adopted a resolution “On Approval of the Rules for the Formation and Maintenance of the Classifier of Construction Information”. The decree was prepared by the Ministry of Construction of Russia in pursuance of the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation on the transition to the life cycle management system of capital construction objects, in order to modernize the construction industry and improve the quality of construction by introducing information modeling technologies and applying standard models of the management system as a matter of priority in the social sphere. The document also solves the tasks of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" to ensure the legal framework for managing the life cycle of capital construction projects using information modeling technologies. The adopted resolution established the following rules for the formation and maintenance of the classifier of construction information: it is formed and maintained using the state information system for ensuring urban planning activities of the Russian Federation; is placed in the public domain on the Internet with the ability to select the version of the classifier for the reporting period; updated at least four times a year; changes at the request of federal executive authorities, state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local authorities, legal entities and individuals. The work of the classifier will be harmonized with the current all-Russian and industry classifiers containing construction information. Harmonization and integration of CCI with existing industry information systems will allow systematizing a huge layer of information used in the construction industry. The launch of the classifier is scheduled for December 2020.
