The meeting was attended by the Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich, representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the heads of regions. The meeting was held in intercom mode. Opening the meeting, Marat Khusnullin recalled that at the last meeting of the Presidium of the State Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the importance of housing for the development of the country and stressed that at least 5 million families should improve their living conditions annually, and the volume of housing construction should be up to 120 million sq. m per year. Marat Khusnullin reminded the meeting participants about the current measures to support and develop the construction industry. This is compensation by the state of the interest rate for contractor companies that take out a loan from banks under a state contract for construction this year (subject to the limits being brought up next year). This support measure is valid both in the construction of civilian facilities and in road construction.
