Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited cultural heritage sites in the center of Kazan, which are under restoration. The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin also got acquainted with the results of the reconstruction and restoration of three objects that are objects of cultural heritage of federal significance.
“Drotoevsky's House” built in 1837 became the first object of inspection. Currently, the building houses the Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage objects in the republic.
“Chukashev's House”, 1908, which houses the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, was also presented for review. The facade of the building and the interiors of the first floor were restored in 2014-2015, for administrative premises. Construction, installation and other restoration works were carried out in the building, landscaping of the adjacent territory was carried out.
The building of the Art School, 1900 – 1904. (now - the building of the Kazan Art School named after N.I. Feshin), became the final object of acquaintance. The building has been restored as part of the 1st stage. The foundation has been strengthened, the floors have been replaced, the roof has been repaired, and the walls that are in disrepair have been strengthened. Engineering communications have been replaced. The south wing of the building has been completely restored. According to experts, the building needs the completion of major repairs.
The application for inclusion of the building of the Kazan Art School named after N.I.Feshin in the renovation program of regional and municipal cultural institutions has been sent to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
