To date, more than 126,000 residents of Tatarstan have taken part in the All-Russian online voting to select improvement projects. This was announced by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Aizatullin, at a briefing at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
He recalled that the All-Russian voting to select priority sites for improvement in 2027 is taking place from April 21 to June 12 within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.”
A total of 178 public spaces have been put up for voting, including 20 proposed by citizens. These include parks, squares, and embankments located in all municipal districts of the republic, as well as in the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
This year, the voting procedure is conducted on the feedback platform of the national public services portal and through volunteers using the mobile application “Public Services. Volunteer.”
Public involvement both at the stage of public discussions when selecting sites and at the design stage has been successfully implemented in the republic since 2015.
“Tatarstan became the pioneer of the federal project ‘Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment.’ Our experience was highly appreciated by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and proposed for scaling across the entire country,” emphasized Marat Aizatullin. “By the time the competition was launched in 2018, we had already accumulated significant experience in developing public spaces, which is why we are among the regions with the highest number of winners.”
From 2015 to 2025, a total of 441 public spaces were developed in the republic, covering all municipal districts as well as the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny. The total funding amounted to about 29 billion rubles, including 14 billion rubles from the federal budget.
For 2026, the implementation of 51 projects is planned within the framework of the federal project, with total funding of approximately 2.5 billion rubles.
