The second stage of reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan has begun

Anvar Zaripov, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with Denis Alexandrov, Prosecutor of the Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office of Kazan, visited the facility for the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan (BOSC).

Currently, work is underway at the facility to implement the second stage of the project. According to the developed POI, the implementation of two stages of reconstruction will reduce the quantitative indicators of treated wastewater from existing indicators. In general, the expected result of the work being carried out by the end of 2024 is a threefold reduction in polluted wastewater into the Volga.

Now 113 people work at the facility, 10 pieces of equipment are involved. Currently, the reconstruction of aerotanks, settling tanks, construction of silt pumping stations and other structures of the 1st and II stages of reconstruction is underway.  

Recall that the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan began in 2021 as part of the implementation of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology". Large-scale work on the modernization of the BOSC includes the construction of new and reconstruction of existing facilities.
