Construction and installation work on the recultivation of silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan has been completed by 52 percent. This was announced by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin at the republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic.
The facility is being implemented within the framework of the federal program "Improvement of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology".
To date, work is underway at the reclamation site to free maps from silt with a lower screen device and fill the geotubes with diluted silt sediment.
Recultivation of silt fields will allow by the end of 2024 to eliminate the object of accumulated environmental damage that poses a threat to the Volga River by isolating 4 million cubic meters of sludge accumulated over half a century on an area of about 100 hectares.
