Recultivation of the Samosyrov landfill in Kazan was completed by 70%

In Kazan, work continues on the reclamation of the Samosyrov landfill. To date, construction and installation work at the facility has been completed by almost 70 percent.

 

The recultivation of the Samosyrov landfill is carried out under the federal program "Clean Country" of the national project "Ecology".

 

The main goal is to eliminate the possible negative impact of an inactive MSW landfill on the soil of the land, groundwater and atmospheric air, as well as to ensure the possibility of using the entire reclaimed territory after completion of work in accordance with the functional zoning of Kazan.

 

The project of recultivation of the Samosyrovsky landfill provides for the purification of the filtrate released by the landfill on specialized equipment with the device of an active degassing system.

 

At the facility, work has been completed on the formation of a landfill body, the installation of an intermediate insulation and leveling layer with soil, and the installation of a waterproofing layer.

 

In addition, vertical and horizontal gas-collecting drains were installed, gas-collecting trenches with wells were installed, and a gas-piston installation was delivered. Also, a complex of works on ventilation of sewage pumping stations was carried out.

 

Currently, the builders are carrying out work on laying a 3D hydromat (drainage membrane), automation of degassing systems.

 

Recall that the goal of the national project "Ecology" is to radically improve the environmental situation and positively affect the health of Russians. The national project includes 11 federal projects. The work is carried out in five areas: waste, water, air, biodiversity, technology.
