On December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated worldwide.
In the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of events dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day, the GAU "Department of State Expertise and Pricing of the Republic of Tatarstan for Construction and Architecture", GKU "Main Investment and Construction Directorate of the Republic of Tatarstan", GKU "were prepared and distributed to employees of subordinate organizationsThe Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", SUE of the Republic of Tatarstan "Tatleasing", GBU "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan" anti-corruption memos aimed at improving legal literacy in the field of anti-corruption and the formation of an anti-corruption worldview.
For reference: Twenty years ago, on December 9, 2003, the UN Convention against Corruption was opened for signature at a High-level Political Conference in Merida (Mexico). The start day of the conference was declared the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The purpose of the Convention, to which more than 170 States have now acceded, is as follows:
- Promoting and strengthening measures aimed at more effective and efficient prevention and fight against corruption;
- Encouraging, facilitating and supporting international cooperation and technical assistance in preventing and combating corruption, including asset recovery measures;
- Promotion of honesty and integrity, responsibility, and proper management of public affairs and public property.
