The staff and management of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan express their deep condolences to the family and friends in connection with the death of Rim Shafikovich Khalitov, President of the Regional Branch Association of Employers "Union of Builders of the Republic of Tatarstan".
Rim Shafikovich had a well-deserved and unquestioning authority in the construction industry of the republic and the country as a whole. Since 1971, after graduating from the Kazan Institute of Civil Engineering with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering, Rim Shafikovich's half-century-long career has been associated with construction. He worked as a foreman, foreman, chief of staff of the All-Union Shock construction site on the construction of KAMAZ.
Subsequently, for 25 years he headed the Capital Construction Department under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, later renamed the Main Investment and Construction Department of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the leadership of Rim Shafikovich, investment programs under his control and with his direct participation were able to provide work to many construction organizations of the republic during the transition to market relations. In 2008, the construction community elected him president of the Self-regulatory organization "Commonwealth of Builders of the Republic of Tatarstan".
Under him, hundreds of schools, hospitals, polyclinics, thousands of square meters of housing and other socio-cultural facilities were built in the republic, which served as the foundation for the development of the republic's construction complex.
With his participation, modern facilities were built, diverse in purpose and complexity of execution: the complex of the Republican Cancer Center, the Perinatal Center of the Republican Clinical Hospital, the Tatar Drama Theater in Menzelinsk, the organ music hall in Naberezhnye Chelny, the complex of the Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow and a number of others, where technically sophisticated equipment was installed, increased requirements were imposed on building structures and the decoration.
And of course, the activities of Roman Shafikovich made a significant contribution to the preparation of the city of Kazan for the 1000th anniversary.
Rim Shafikovich was active in public life: he was a member of the Republican Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations, a member of the Coordinating Council of Employers' Associations of the Republic of Tatarstan, a member of the Board of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, also an Honorary Professor of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He was a veteran of labor and had state and departmental awards.
He left behind a huge memory: in deeds, in hearts, in the modern appearance of the republic.
