It is planned to complete the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan and put them into operation in 2024. The work is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga River" of the national project "Ecology". The funding limit for the I and II stages of the project is 7.5 billion rubles, of which 6.13 billion rubles are from the federal budget.
In 2021-2023, 5,436.18 million rubles were disbursed, including 4,403.3 million rubles of federal funds. The limit for 2024 is 2,137.27 million rubles, of which 1,731.19 million rubles are from the federal budget.
The BOSK reconstruction project was developed by Giprocommunvodokanal SPB LLC (St. Petersburg). The state contract for construction and installation works was signed with VT Stroyengineering LLC. At the moment, they are completed by 11.74% (75.38% of the total object).
The implementation of the I and II stages of reconstruction will improve the performance of wastewater treatment.
"At the moment, all equipment and materials are at the facility, reinforced concrete structures are being prepared, which means cleaning old metal and destroyed parts. In the summer, work will be carried out on rehabilitation, reinforcement and new monolithic structures will be erected. The work will be completed this year and the operation of the facility will begin. After the reconstruction, we will have serious reserves of capacity that will allow us to clean wastewater as efficiently as possible and not pollute the Volga," said Alexey Frolov, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Biological sewage treatment plants of Kazan were put into operation in 1962. By the beginning of the reconstruction, their wear was 68.5%. Their design capacity is 650 thousand cubic meters/day. The actual intake was 361.8 thousand cubic meters/day. The owner of the facility is the Executive Committee of Kazan, the operating organization is the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal.
