The Interdepartmental Commission on Urban Development in Historical Settlements has encouraged a number of new projects in Kazan, Buinsk and Mamadysh
The objects of new construction, which are planned in historical settlements, were presented today to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on urban development in historical settlements. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin.
The meeting of the commission is being held this year for the first time. New construction projects in Kazan, Buinsk and Mamadysh were considered.
Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, the chief architect of the capital, presented the projects in Kazan – a total of 19 objects were considered.

The next project was the industrial building on Lebedev Street. The construction of the facility has been approved.
Next, Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina presented a project for the reconstruction of the Chekhov market. "We have long wanted to carry out reconstruction," Rustam Minnikhanov reminded. – The building will have an extension and a modern courtyard. This market enjoys the attention of the population." The next project presented was the reconstruction of the cultural heritage site "Residential House, XVIII century" (7 Gayaza Iskhaki str.). The project with a modern architectural solution of reconstruction was approved.
The residential building at the intersection of Salikh Saidashev St. and Sarah Sadykova St. was approved taking into account the study of the color scheme of the facade.
Further, the architectural and construction concept for the development of the territories adjacent to Mezhlauka and Narimanov Streets was announced to the members of the commission. According to the architectural community, this quarter is interesting because it is adjacent to the River Port and will be in demand as walking routes for tourists and citizens. The concept covers several buildings, an inner courtyard area, and other buildings. The project sparked discussion and was generally approved, but with additional improvements to the courtyard.
The project of a 2-storey red brick office building on Malaya Krasnaya Street was also approved.
The next project in the center of Kazan is the improvement of the pedestrian zone (stairs) along Ulyanov-Lenin and Tikhomirnov streets. Several options are presented, including those linked to the landscape.
Further, the reconstruction project of the existing building on Astronomical -Trade Union Street was approved.
The next object was considered – an already existing multi-storey residential building on Mayakovsky Street. The members of the commission agreed that the object can be agreed on one condition – the tallest element of the building (corner tower) will be lowered.
Further, projects for the construction of three individual residential buildings were approved - on Pekhotnaya Street, on Transversely-Podluzhnaya, Koreanskaya street.

The object of new construction in Buinsk was presented by Rinat Gilfanov, head of the Architecture Department of the Executive Committee of the Buinsk municipal district. This is a project of the Baki Urmanche Museum. The museum project is a three-storey building at the fork of two streets in Buinsk.

The chief architect of the executive committee of the Mamadysh municipal district, Adel Sibgatullin, reported on the construction project of the Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity in Mamadysh (Sovetskaya St.). This site is the historical location of the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity of the XVIII century (1781-1783), which was demolished in 1933. The project has been approved.
