Restoration of a unique wooden architecture building, a two–storey house on Vakhitova Street, built in 1870, has begun in Kukmor. The office of the Komarov brothers factory, which founded the production of felt boots in the city, was located here. One of the brothers, Nikolai Vasilyevich, also lived here.
The house is an identified object of cultural significance, framed by wooden lace.
The majestic building has been abandoned for more than 10 years. To ensure minimal protection, the house was surrounded by an iron fence, the windows were sewn up with boards. And just the other day, his recovery began. The restorers will have to carry out a large amount of work on an area of more than 340 square meters. The building is very dilapidated, so it is planned to strengthen the foundation structure, repair the log house, floors, walls, roof, facade, restoration of door and window fillings. The electrics, ventilation, and heating will be updated. The wooden structural elements of the building, the threaded decoration of the architraves and columns will also be restored.
The builders began dismantling pipes, floors, plaster walls and ceilings.
The renovation and restoration work of the office of the Komarov brothers was included in the federal program "Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure", which is part of the national project "Family".
