Reconstruction of water supply networks in Chistopol will improve the quality of services for 12 thousand citizens
In Chistopol, the water supply networks along Engels Street will be completely renovated. The reconstruction is being carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life", over 191.469 million rubles have been allocated for the implementation of measures.
The total length of the water supply networks is 3,434 km. The workers have laid 1,078 km of pipes, and the plan has reached 30% completion. Construction and installation work is to be completed by August 30.
According to the State Institution "Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", the water supply networks along Engels Street were commissioned in the 1980s. Due to the high deterioration, the water supply was often turned off here. After the reconstruction, the number of emergencies will be significantly reduced, it will be possible to localize the accident site and there will be no need to turn off the entire neighborhood of the Chistopol Watch Factory. 82 apartment buildings, 7 kindergartens, 2 schools, city hospital No. 2 and the industrial site of the watch factory will be switched to the new water supply networks. This will improve the quality of service provision for 12,000 residents of Chistopol.
In 2025, 36 facilities will be upgraded under the National Infrastructure for Life project. In addition, the republican program for the modernization of municipal infrastructure, launched on the initiative of the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, includes 100 facilities. As previously reported by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, the builders have completed three facilities, the reconstruction of 128 facilities is ongoing - their completion is estimated at 33%. For the remaining five, work should begin by July 7.
