The new building of the Theater named after G.Kamal has been awarded the Crystal Daedalus National Architecture Award.
The XXXIII International "Architecture. Russia. 2025." Festival has ended in Moscow. Well-deserved awards were given to participants of four contests - "Temple Architecture", "Creativity of young architects", "Creativity of students of architectural universities and colleges", "Children's architectural and artistic creativity", as well as the competition "The best print edition about architecture and architects".
In addition, the Russian national professional award in the field of architecture "Crystal Dedalus" is awarded annually as part of the festival for the best commissioned object in the Architectural Works review competition. And in 2025, this award was awarded to the work "New Building of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G.Kamal", presented by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, LLC Vauhaus and SUE Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt. The team of authors includes the Wowhaus team (Moscow) in a consortium with Kengo Kuma and Associates (Tokyo, Japan).
The theater building was built in record time and almost completely by Russian contractors and using Russian materials.
The award was received by Vladimir Kudryashev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.
