Major repairs of 1.4 km of household sewerage networks along Tatarstan Street will continue in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Construction and installation work, which began in 2025, will be carried out from March to October as part of the national Infrastructure for Life project. 44.6 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes.

According to the State Institution "Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", the steel pipeline was commissioned in 1971. Surveys of the sites have shown that the waterproofing of the pipes is broken, and an intensive corrosion process is observed. As a result, the wall thickness is 70% of the thickness of the new pipe. Emergency situations have been repeatedly eliminated here. The networks have a wear rate of more than 85%.

During the overhaul, the existing pipes with a diameter of 400 mm will be replaced with multilayer polyethylene pipes. As a result of the work, the quality of services will improve for 3,518 residents of the city.

In total, 15 municipal infrastructure facilities will be repaired in Naberezhnye Chelny according to the national project.

It should be recalled that within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life", measures are planned to modernize 17 facilities for a total amount of 2.5 billion rubles. The program also includes 2 facilities in Almetyevsk and Leninogorsk districts.
