Major repairs of the Drozhzhanovsky Museum of Local Lore have begun

In the village of Staroe Drozhzhanoe, builders have begun major repairs to the Museum of Local lore.

The museum was founded in 1970 and over the years was located in the house of pioneers, the building of the former military enlistment office. Since 2013, it has been moving to the current two-storey building on Dzerzhinsky Street. The updated exhibition presents personal belongings and documents of famous countrymen of the district: scientist-historian Hadi Atlasi, poets-veterans Zaki Nuri and Sharaf Mudarris, People's Artists of Tatarstan Gabdulla Rahimkullov, Hidiyat Sultanov and Rinat Tazetdinov, founder of Chuvash drama Nikolai Efremov, playwright Anatoly Chebanov and many other prominent figures of the Tatar and Chuvash people. Currently, the museum's collections contain over 3,300 items.

The total area of the museum is 720 square meters.m. Specialists have now completed the installation of the heating system and heating station. The repair of power supply and lighting systems, water supply and sanitation, and internal engineering networks has begun.

The work is carried out within the framework of the republican program of capital repairs of cultural facilities, the total completion has reached 30%. According to the project, the renovated museum is scheduled to open its doors in November.
