Tatarstan saw an almost 5-fold increase in the commissioning of multi-family housing
In January-February 2026, developers of multi-family housing in Tatarstan commissioned 305 thousand square meters of housing, while in the same period last year – 64 thousand "squares". This was told to RBC Tatarstan by Ilshat Gimaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the republic.
"Statistics on the MCD have increased many times. This means that the groundwork for the fourth quarter of last year began to "shoot" with commissioning in 2026," he said.
In total, 750 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in Tatarstan in two months. Of these, 445,000 "squares" were commissioned in the segment of individual housing construction.
The minimum housing commissioning plan for 2026 under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" in Tatarstan is 3.175 million square meters. m. According to Gimaev, it will be completed.
Last year, Tatarstan exceeded the target of 3.5 million square meters in housing construction. It was planned to reach it only in 2028, said the Deputy head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Most of the new residential real estate in the republic last year was made up of private houses. 2.4 million square meters were commissioned in the residential housing segment.
