Today, the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a joint meeting of the Committee on Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Expert Council under the Committee.
Ilshat Gimaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of Tatarstan, who spoke at the meeting, stressed that the urban development potential of the Tatarstan housing construction market has increased by 12% over the year.
"As of March 1, 2026, the urban development potential – the maximum living area possible for construction within three years – is 6.3 million square meters. m. A year earlier, the figure was at 5.7 million square meters," I. Gimaev said.
Also, according to the Deputy head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan, the volume of existing permits for the construction of apartment buildings has increased. If on March 1, 2025 it was 5.1 million square meters, then by March 1, 2026 it reached 5.7 million square meters. The growth was 12.4%.
At the same time, the area of apartment buildings under construction increased by only 0.3% and amounted to 3.6 million square meters.
