Major repairs of the pressure sewer system are continuing in the 63rd residential district of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Work on this facility began in 2025 as part of the federal program "Modernization of Municipal Infrastructure" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
This year, 2,588 m of pipes will be laid, and over 111.6 million rubles have been allocated for this purpose. Steel pipes are replaced by wear-resistant polyethylene pipes using an innovative method of horizontal directional drilling with diameters of 110 mm and 225 mm. This technology allows laying pipes without opening the ground. It is planned to complete the laying of pipes at this site in August. The completion rate has now reached 32%.
According to the State Institution "Main Directorate of Engineering Networks of the Republic of Tatarstan", the steel pipeline was commissioned in 1971. During this time, the wear of the networks exceeded 87%: the inner surface of the pipes was overgrown with corrosion products, the wall thickness was 70% of the thickness of the new pipe. Emergency situations were repeatedly eliminated in the surveyed areas.
As a result of the overhaul of the pressure sewer collector, the quality of services will improve for 31543 residents of 63 residential districts of Naberezhnye Chelny.
In total, 15 municipal infrastructure facilities will be repaired in Naberezhnye Chelny under the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
As part of the national project, it is planned to modernize 17 facilities for a total amount of 2.5 billion rubles. The program also includes 2 facilities in Almetyevsk and Leninogorsk districts.
