From April 21 to June 12, residents of Tatarstan chose which parks, squares, embankments and streets should be improved as a priority in 2027. The All-Russian online voting was held as part of the implementation of the federal program "Creating a comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
This year, 178 public spaces in each municipal district and city district were offered to the residents of the republic for voting. The list also includes 20 facilities based on the results of a survey of residents conducted on the Public Services portal.
425,916 residents took part in the voting. Of these, 131,903 people are from Kazan, 57,037 from Naberezhnye Chelny, and 28,849 from Nizhnekamsk. Residents of Almetyevsk, Zelenodolsk and Bugulminsky districts also voted the most actively. Each of the 45 districts of the republic has its own winner of the vote - the territory that will be improved next year. Projects related to access to water became the leaders in terms of the number of votes received. For example, in Naberezhnye Chelny, the victory was won by the project of continuing the improvement of the embankment. Fikrata Tabeev — 40 192. Similar high support rates were recorded in Cheremshansky district (Bolshoy Cheremshan River embankment — 2,534 votes, in Rybno-Slobodsky district (renovation of the Kama River embankment — 2,649 votes). These indicators indicate that the availability of comfortable access to water is today one of the main requirements for the quality of the urban environment in small and large cities of the republic.
The second most popular objects are those that accumulate the cultural memory of the region or serve as the main leisure center for all generations. In addition to the absolute leader in Kazan, the square along Tatarstan Street with the installation of a sculpture of the great Tatar singer Sarah Sadykova (49,474 votes), residents actively chose territories associated with the historical heritage in other regions of the republic. So, in Kamsko-Ustinsky district, Victory Park, which is located at the intersection of Sovetskaya and K. Marx Streets, became the winner with 1,363 votes. In the Mamadyshsky district, Victory Park along Davydova Street won. In Aznakayev, residents massively supported the continuation of landscaping of the Central Park named after R. Ishkayev — 5,004 votes. In Tyulyachinsky district, residents gave absolute priority to the Central Park in the village of Tyulyachi, which received 1,542 votes. In Nizhnekamsk, citizens voted for the continuation of the development of the Syuyumbike Park, and in Bugulma, the historical Children's Park on Vladimir Lenin St., created back in 1938, was recognized as the winner. Voting for such facilities underlines that it is fundamentally important for residents to preserve their historical roots and have within walking distance a large, high-quality and multifunctional space capable of combining cultural events, family vacations and the memory of heroes and prominent figures of the republic.
