Five projects from Tatarstan have won the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment

The results of the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment on all tracks of the competitive selection within the framework of the XI Forum "Development of small towns and Historical settlements" have been summed up.

The competition is conducted by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" and covers settlements with a population of up to 300 thousand people, including strongholds and historical settlements. For the first time, projects for historical and border regions have been selected separately.

In 2026, the competition commission, led by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, identified 294 finalists from 82 regions of the Russian Federation, including parks, embankments, squares, streets and pedestrian zones. Since the establishment of the competition in 2018, 1,903 facilities have been selected, of which 1,168 projects have already been implemented.

Of the 12 proposed projects from Tatarstan, 5 became winners.:

• "Improvement of the historical center of Bilyarsk within the boundaries of Lenin, Uritsky and Krasnoborskaya streets" (in the category "Historical settlements"
• "Renovation of the Petrochemical Park" in Nizhnekamsk (in the category "Small towns and strongholds with a population of 100,000 to 300,000 inclusive")
• "Children's Park" in Bugulma (in the category "Small towns and strongholds with a population of 50,000 to 100,000 inclusive")
• "Landscaping of the territory surrounded by Krupskaya, Leningradskaya, Shashina and Kutuzov streets" in Leninogorsk (in the category "Small towns and strong settlements with a population of 50,000 to 100,000 people inclusive")
• "The development of the central part of the village of Apastovo. Improvement of the central park and surrounding areas" (in the category "Small towns and strong settlements with a population of 5,000 to 20,000 people inclusive")
