Tatarstan's experience has become the starting point for a federal project to create a comfortable urban environment.
Today, at a briefing at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, the results of the XI All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment were summed up.
Speaking with the main report, the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Aizatullin, stressed that systematic work on the improvement of public spaces in Tatarstan has been underway since 2015.
"It was Tatarstan's experience that became the starting point for the federal project "Creating a comfortable Urban Environment", which is part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". Our achievements were highly appreciated by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and were proposed to be scaled throughout the country. The regulations and practices developed in the republic have been incorporated into the federal standards of landscaping," said Marat Aizatullin.
From 2015 to 2025, 450 public spaces have been built in Tatarstan. The total amount of financing amounted to about 29 billion rubles, including 14 billion from the federal budget.
The minister said that this year, 51 facilities worth about 2.7 billion rubles are planned to be implemented under the national project "Infrastructure for Life". The builders have already completed 70% of the construction and installation work.
"Tatarstan annually participates in the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment. By the time it was launched in 2018, we had already accumulated serious experience in the development of public spaces, which is why we are one of the regions with the largest number of winners: in 9 years, from 2018 to 2026, 60 projects had received federal funding, 42 of which have already been completed, 13 are planned to be completed this year, and work will begin on 5 more projects. in 2027," said the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In 2026, 6 winning facilities of the All-Russian competition last year are being improved in the republic for a total amount of about 906 million rubles, of which 474.5 million rubles is a subsidy from the federal budget. The readiness of construction and installation works has reached 56% today.
In 2026, 12 applications from Tatarstan were submitted for the competition. 5 of them won:
- "Improvement of the historical center of Bilyarsk within the boundaries of Lenin, Uritsky and Krasnoborskaya streets"
- Renovation of the Petrochemical Park in Nizhnekamsk
- "Children's Park" in Bugulma
- "Landscaping of the territory surrounded by Krupskaya, Leningradskaya, Shashina and Kutuzov streets" in Leninogorsk
- "Development of the central part of the village of Apastovo. Improvement of the central park and surrounding areas".
The implementation of these facilities is planned for next year.
