The renovation of the Ak Bars Arena stadium in Kazan continues
The major renovation of the Ak Bars Arena stadium continues in Kazan.
According to the GISU of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the preparatory stage, 60% water jet cleaning of metal structures and 51% fire protection painting were performed.
The project provides for the modernization of server equipment and video surveillance systems, cable installation, and equipment supply.
To date, the major renovation of the stadium premises has been completed to accommodate the GAU "Sports Training Center". In particular, finishing works, installation of power supply, ventilation and air conditioning systems, water supply and sewerage networks were laid.
The arena was commissioned in May 2013 for the World Summer Universiade and has a capacity of 45,379 spectators. The engineering uniqueness of the stadium lies in the translucent roof weighing 12,000 tons, which is supported by only 8 pillars.
