Irek Fayzullin assessed the progress of the implementation of Russia's largest renovation project of industrial zones in Kazan
During a working visit to Kazan, Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, assessed the dynamics of the renovation project of the Novaya Portovaya territory, one of the largest redevelopment sites for industrial zones in the country. The visit was attended by Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilya Wolfson, Deputy of the State Duma, Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, Nail Galeev, CEO of the SMU-88 Group of Companies, and others.
The transformation of 287 hectares of the former industrial zone near the Volga River started in the fall of 2022. Irek Fayzullin got acquainted with the first stage of Yanalifa, which was commissioned earlier this year, and also inspected the construction of subsequent stages of the residential complex. The minister paid special attention to the inspection of the first stage of construction of a hydraulic engineering structure, the dam, which will form the basis for the country's longest river embankment, 12 km long.
"The territories by the water are the pearl of every city that needs to be dealt with. The appearance of such a project in the center of Kazan is a great thing. 287 hectares is a grandiose site. It is important here not just to build houses, but to create engineering networks, all the necessary infrastructure and a comfortable atmosphere. Everything we do is done for people, and I see that the project is being implemented with an emphasis on comfort. I'm sure it won't take more than five years, and it will be very beautiful here," said Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.
Marat Aizatullin spoke about the progress of the project at the national level and about plans for further development of the territory's infrastructure.
Irek Fayzullin also presented badges of "Honorary Builder of Russia", letters of thanks and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation to distinguished workers in the construction industry of Tatarstan who made a significant contribution to its development.
