Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan confidently holds the status of one of the leaders in the country in terms of the pace of updating the school network
Today, on the eve of the start of the new academic year, six new educational facilities have been opened in Tatarstan. The ceremony was held via video link at the Kazan Expo site. The event was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Russia, Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan, and others.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan confidently holds the status of one of the leaders in the country in terms of the pace of updating the school network. Since 2010, 115 general education facilities have been built and put into operation in the republic. This is more than 75 thousand new student places.
"Thanks to national projects and federal programs, funds from the republican budget, as well as the state program of the Russian Federation "Integrated Rural Development", we are opening six new educational facilities for the new academic year," said the President of the Republic.
He expressed gratitude to the President of Russia and the Federal Government for the systematic support of the republic in the implementation of ambitious projects in the field of education.
"I would like to thank the builders, designers and everyone who worked on these facilities to complete them exactly by the beginning of the school year. I would also like to thank the teaching staff. It is you who fill new educational spaces with worthy content," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
Irek Fayzullin noted that Tatarstan's experience in building schools using standard solutions is being adopted by many regions of the country.
New schools were opened in Buinsky, Agryzsky, Menzelinsky and Kukmorsky districts, and additional buildings to educational institutions were commissioned in Bugulminsky district.
