Rustam Minnikhanov visited the sites of the historical center of Kazan
The Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, made a working tour of a number of sites located in the historical center of Kazan. He was accompanied by Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, Olesya Baltusova, Assistant to the Rais of Tatarstan, Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, and others.
During the tour, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the projects of residential complexes planned for construction on Aivazovsky, Volkov and Nazarbayev streets. Representatives of developers showed several architectural and artistic design options for buildings: color schemes, facade finishes, and landscaping elements. The Rais of the Republic stressed that new facilities should fit seamlessly into the existing urban environment, and instructed to ensure quality control of finishing materials. Following the discussion, all three projects were approved.
Next, the Rais of the Republic got acquainted with the renovation of the former industrial zone near the Volga River and the construction of a residential complex on the territory of Novaya Portovaya. In addition to residential development, the large-scale project provides for the construction of a 12-kilometer embankment, landscaping of green areas, as well as the construction of a school and kindergarten.
At the end of the tour, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the territory of the Kazan River Port. He got acquainted with the general condition and the concept of further development of the river port building, as well as plans for the improvement of the Locomotive Peninsula.
