Today in the Government building under the leadership of first Vice-Premier of Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov held a meeting of the presidential Council of the Russian Federation for housing policy and improving housing affordability.

Irek Faizullin made a report about the formation of the market of affordable rental housing in Tatarstan. Since 2011, the Republic put into operation 54 rental homes on 1 thousand 514  apartments with the total area of 82.3 thousand sq. m.

If we talk in General about the volume of commissioned housing over the past 10 years Tatarstan has positive growth dynamics, and the past 6 years keeps the bar for entry is stable at 2.4 million sq m, housing for 1 person in the Republic is 25.2 square meters, in Russia this indicator is equal to 24,5 sqm In particular, the head of the Ministry of construction issued a proposal for the empowerment of the seller of the Russian Federation on the issue of securities linked to a square meter of housing, including rental. This proposal was supported and included in the minutes of the meeting for further work.
