60 medical and 40 veterinary stations were built in Tatarstan this year

60 modular medical and 40 district veterinary stations will be built in Tatarstan this year. As much as 330 million rubles have been allocated for their construction, Ilshat Gimaev , the Acting Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan, claimed today at a press conference in Tatar-Inform information agency.

As he recalled, the program for construction of medical stations has been implemented in the republic since 2012. During this time, 360 stations were built in Tatarstan.
"Medical stations are built in the most remote rural areas of the republic for providing rural population with medical help. They have a full set of equipment, which enables to provide primary care," Ilshat Gimaev said.

To date, 24 foundations in the 16 municipalities have already been installed this year.

Besides medical stations, construction of four outpatient clinics and ten postmortem offices is scheduled in the republic, as well as major overhaul of two district hospitals, three clinics, eight polyclinics, 154 medical stations, and four schoolyard medical stations.

The deputy minister said that the modular stations were produced at a factory, Neftemash, in Leninogorsk. "The facilities' quality has proved to be so high, so that such stations have appeared in the Crimea" Gimaev went on speaking.

The official also told about another 40 district veterinary stations to create in the republic this year. Last year, 42 veterinary stations were built. By February 5, 18 foundations in 15 municipalities have been installed already; engineering network has been prepared at 13 sites.

"Thus, 330 million rubles have been allocated for the facilities creation, 80 percent of which goes to the construction of medical stations and 20 percent – to the district veterinary stations," the acting deputy minister reported.

"Currently, the republic needs more than 40 district veterinary stations and over 70 medical stations annually. We expect, next two or three years, basic needs of Tatarstan will be satisfied, " Ilshat Gimaev concluded.
