The international VELUX award is an open global competition, organized in close cooperation with the International Union of architects and the magazine "Architectural Review". It is held in two stages: first – regional, the second – international. The Award jury included recognized world experts in the field of architecture and leading the architectural media.
This year in the contest for the International prize VELUX, inspiring students to work with daylight in architecture, registered members from 97 countries. More than 2780 teams and 5,000 people submitted creative work. Russia was represented by 48 teams from across the country: from Moscow to Vladivostok.
The award is for architecture students, individual participants and teams in the competition will present their vision of working with natural light in contemporary architecture and suggest ways to improve the conditions of life and work in modern buildings.
In the first phase in the region "Eastern Europe and the Middle East," the winners are representatives of Tatarstan (Russia) and Poland. Tatarstan in the competition was represented by the family Ahramovich – teachers of Institute of architecture and design kSCU.
After that, during Grand final will be selected two winners who will receive the main prizes at the festival in Berlin on 18 November 2016.
