Second stage of selection of characters for the new banknotes of the Bank of Russia

The first stage of selection of characters for the new banknotes with denomination of 200 and 2000 rubles is completed. The results of the voting Kazan came in the expanded list of cities with characters with 5000 votes. In the list of symbols entered Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, Kazan Kremlin and Kul Sharif Mosque.

In the period from 5 to 30 August 2016 will be the second stage of selection characters. Fund "Public opinion" will conduct a nationwide survey, "A study of the preferences of citizens of the Russian Federation in the choice of cities and their characters for the image on the new banknotes of Russia". The poll is anonymous. According to its results will be formed short-list of the 10 cities with appropriate symbols. The final results of the competition will be announced on 7 October 2016.
