In 2017 in Russia gradually starts a new system of waste management in which the focus will be on improving the efficiency of methods of disposal, including increasing the share of recycling. According to the Ministry of construction of Russia, a significant part of the population is ready to separate waste collection. This was announced on December 7, the Deputy head of the Ministry of Russia Andrey lapwing during the conference "Waste Management".
"We see that the level of public support for a responsible attitude to waste is very high: the population not only according to sort waste by fractions, the country already has a significant number of volunteers helping to organize the collection and delivery of recyclable materials for further processing. Sure, such initiatives need support",- said Deputy Minister of construction and housing utilities of the Russian Federation, chief Housing inspector Andrew Chibis.
In addition, Andrew Chibis stressed that it is necessary to study the tools of motivation of the volunteers collecting recyclables and hazardous waste for recycling.
In accordance with the decisions taken by the government of the Russian Federation, in all regions of the country should be developed territorial plans for waste management and regional programmes of waste management, in accordance with which the regions should select one or several operators on waste management.
