On March 14, it was stated at a solemn opening of the 18th International Exhibition “Energy. Resource Saving" and the 17th International Symposium “Energy and Resource Efficiency and Energy Saving” at the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition center that over the last five years, Russia has managed to save around 300 million tonnes of equivalent fuel due to the measures taken to increase energy efficiency.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Industry and Trade of of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Russia Deputy Minister of Energy Anton Inyutsin, Governor of Samarkand region of the Republic of Uzbekistan Himmat Okbutayev, representatives of federal and regional government agencies and other officials took part in the meeting.
Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Minnikhanov noted that for today the exhibition in Kazan has proved itself to be an effective platform allowing to become familiar with modern technologies in the field of energy saving and discuss current issues and problems of the energy sector. The 18th International Exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving" has brought together leading specialists and experts in power engineering, industry, housing and utilities, representatives of energy agencies and centres for energy saving and resource efficiency and scientists.
This year more than 140 leading companies from Russia, Belarus, Italy and the USA, as well as 14 representative offices of foreign companies from Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, China, Korea, Poland, Slovenia, the USA, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland presented their latest achievements at the exhibition.
