Meeting of the Collegium of Ministry of construction and housing utilities of the Russian Federation was held on 31 March. It was chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov and the head of the Ministry of construction of Russia Mikhail Men. The meeting was also attended by Minister of construction, architecture and housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin.

 

During the meeting, Mikhail Men presented a report on the Ministry's performance for the year 2016. It was introduced the amount of new housing is 80.2 million square meters. This was achieved largely due to the implementation of the program of subsidizing interest RATES on mortgage loans. The Minister also noted that to prevent defrauded investors and protect the rights and interests of participants of shared construction in 2016 was changed the legislation that created the Fund for the protection of the rights of citizens – participants of shared construction, set up additional requirements for the disclosure of information by developer and the minimum size of the authorized capital developers also expanded the powers of regulatory authorities over the use of funds and introduces a mechanism of project financing by banks in shared housing.

 

In the field of urban development most important in 2016 began working on improving the pricing system in construction. Started preparing for the transition to a resource method of determining the price of construction, creates a state information system of pricing in construction, which will include monitoring data on the cost of construction materials.
