The meeting of the board of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation was held on March 30. It was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Kozak and the head of the Ministry of Construction of Russia Mikhail Men. The Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Men, reported on the results of the Ministry's activities over the past year. He noted that housing construction in 2017 amounted to 79.2 million square meters, which exceeded the forecasted index. This result was also achieved due to the effective implementation of the subprogram "Stimulating housing construction" in the framework of the priority project "Mortgage and rental housing". This measure allowed the additional commissioning of 8.3 million square meters of housing, which is 32% higher than the planned target.

The Minister also said that within the ongoing work to reform the system of technical regulation in 2017, 75 sets of rules, 35 national standards, including requirements for innovative building materials and structures, as well as BIM-technologies, were developed and updated. A lot of work was done to improve the system of pricing in construction. The information system has been put into operation by the federal state information system of pricing in construction, the main purpose of which is the creation of an actual estimate and regulatory framework based on periodic monitoring of construction resources. Speaking about the quality of housing in the country, Mikhail Men said that over the past year over 46,000 houses have been overhauled, in which more than 6 million people live. Collection of contributions compared with the same indicator in 2016 increased by 6.5% and amounted to 92.1%.
