Rustam Minnikhanov launches the first in the Volga region a service metal centre MMK- Coskunoz Alabuga
On May 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the first in the Volga region a service metal centre MMK- Coskunoz Alabuga at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.
Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MMK Viktor Rashnikov, CEO of Coskunoz Holding Ahmet Erdem Ajay, Director General of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works Pavel Shiryaev, Director General of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone Timur Shagivaleev, President and CEO of Ford Sollers Adil Shirinov took part in the opening ceremony.
In his welcoming speech Minnikhanov emphasized that the project was implemented in the shortest possible time. “The most important thing is that we have adopted a new way of working, when the Alabuga SEZ prepares the venue for business development of the resident. This is the 24th plant that will start operating at the Alabuga. This year at least two plants will appear here. I suppose this is a very good example of conducting the work. And the most important thing is that the opening of the service metal centre gives the localization of production facility of goods necessary for our car manufacturing,” he noted.
A plant, manufacturing the forms for stamping car body parts, is the first joint project of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and Coskunoz Alabuga – the resident of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.
