Seminar dedicated to the program “Accessible media” realization took place in the city of Zelenodolsk

Today the seminar within the frames of the program “Accessible environment” realization took place in the center of social rehabilitation “Idel” in the city of Zelenodolsk. The Chairmen of the district and city organizations TRO VOI participated in the seminar.

The main discussed topic was the infrastructure development, which could be adaptable not only for the physically challenged persons, but for everybody, who experience difficulties in movement. It is notable, that Tatarstan, together with Tverskaya and Saratovskaya regions, is participating in the pilot project of making accessible conditions for the challenged people and low-mobile groups of population in the buildings and constructions, objects of social infrastructure and services in their priority life spheres.

«The program «Accessible environment» realization –is a good partnership example of the physically challenged persons’ public associations and the state », - marked Rifat Ganibayev, the Chairman of the Tatar Republican organization of the All-Russian physically challenged persons Association.

The republican program «Accessible environment» has been developed for the years 2011-2015, but the Deputy Minister of construction, architecture and housing considers that this work will be continued after 2015.

«Of course it is impossible to overcome all problems piling up during the decades in one or two years, - says V.Kudryashov. – But all this is meant for the people, that is why it’s high time we start developing the accessible media for the low-mobile groups of population».

Near 640 mln. Rubles have been realized in 2011 in the course of this program, this year we plan to realize even more.

«Last year we involved all Ministries of the Republic and the most important social objects not only in Kazan, but in all districts of Tatarstan. We are putting great emphasis to the activities in the housing sphere. We need 10-15 times more funds for realization of all ideas within the program “Accessible environment”. The volume of activity is enormous, but we are not scared.We must form the list, create the mechanism to make the federal and the republican funds work», - declared Kudryashov.

 It was emphasized at the seminar, that the active position of the physically challenged persons and all groups of population is also of great. Working in close partnership with the Executive Committee and the Department of social protection they could contact all the republican entities.
