Journalists saw three Kazan metro stations under construction

Today the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a media tour for its journalist pool to Kazan metro stations under construction. The representatives of mass media were accompanied by Deputy Head of the State Public Institution “Directorate for underground transport works construction” of Kazan Dmitry Gerasimov and Deputy Head of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Kazmetrostroi” Veniamin Terzimanov.

“Aviastroitelnaya” metro station was the first to see by the journalists, and it has the highest degree of completion as compared to the other two stations. Finishing and facing works, installation of electrical equipment of the integrated traction step-down substation as well as installation of power supply, ventilation, heat supply, and water supply and channeling systems are carried out therein. Besides, stair approaches and underground passages through Kopylova street are being constructed.

The arrangement of concrete structures of entrance hall No.1 and a platform area have been completed at “Moskovskaya” metro station, and the arrangement of a draft tray of the integrated traction step-down substation, the installation of interior structures of entrance hall No.1 as well as the development of the trench of stair approach No. 2 are being carried out.

The scope of work at “Dekabristov” metro station has been completed for more than 30 percent. The development of the station trench is being completed, and the construction of main concrete structures of entrance halls and a platform area are carried out. 

All three metro stations are to be started on May 9th, 2013.
